Else Peterson (she/her) is licensed in Utah as a Clinical Social Worker
I am deeply driven by a commitment to helping others reduce suffering, build resilience, and find lasting fulfillment— especially during life’s most challenging moments. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship difficulties, grief, existential questions, or faith transitions, I am here to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and a stronger sense of self.
My approach centers on fostering self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-acceptance, helping you build a deeper connection with yourself while developing the resilience needed to navigate life’s challenges. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to uncover their passions and embrace moments of joy, no matter the obstacles they face.
I use a combination of therapeutic approaches—including Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing—to tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals. This creates a supportive and personalized space for you to explore, heal, and grow.
In addition to individual therapy, I also work with couples, using the Gottman Method and Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy to strengthen relationships, improve communication and intimacy, and navigate challenges together.
Creating a non-judgmental and inclusive space is central to my practice. I respect and welcome individuals from all backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, spiritual beliefs, and life experiences, ensuring that you feel seen, heard, and valued as we work toward your healing and transformation.
