Amanda Oakley is licensed in Utah as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
My work is guided by a concept that psychologist Carl Rogers brilliantly conveyed when he said: “The curious paradox is that when I can accept myself just as I am, then I can change”.
It’s my hope to meet you with empathy and compassion wherever you are in your mental health journey. Together we will work to identify your goals and build self-confidence, self-efficacy, strength, and resilience.
My passion lies in working with those from all walks of life including adolescents, adults, couples, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I have experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other complex issues that arise from the human experience.
My clinical strengths lie in using evidence-based interventions, such as Gottman Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness.
